Djelfa floods: One killed and four persons rescued

DJELFA (Algeria)- Strong rainfalls have been recorded these last 48 hours killing one person, whereas four others have been saved from death after rivers of the region overflowed, civil defence services said Wednesday. After a call made by national gendarmerie noting the existence of a vehicle, carrying five persons, surrounded by waters, civil defence agents intervened in the late Tuesday in the province of Sidi Baizid (Sub-prefecture of Dar Chioukh), allowing to rescue the four passengers whereas a fifth one aged 18 drowned, the same source added. The rescued persons have been evacuated to the sanitary centre of Dar Chioukh.
